The population of Georgia is about 3.7 million people. Situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Georgia has a rapidly growing economy, driven by agriculture, tourism, and mining. The official language is Georgian, but Russian and English are also commonly spoken.
Georgia spends about 7% of its national budget on healthcare. The pharmaceutical market is valued at approximately $400 million, with imports covering a significant portion of the market. The medical device market is valued at around $100 million.
Medicines and medical devices require state registration before being marketed.
